Christmas trip 2011

Robina Day on 12th December 2011

For the past week I have been bricking it about the possibility of snow and having to postpone the trip for another year. But wahoo Friday is here and NO snow! We picked the van up around 6pm and headed for the chapel a quick check of kit and the van loaded, we set off for the M62. A quick stop off at Birch services for a traditional BK BACON double cheese burger, then onwards we press. We arrived around 10:30pm after group discussion we decide our plan for the weekend and head to bed. The walk...(Continue)

Just a little bit deeper (Wastwater)

Hannah James on 17th November 2011

After a dark and rainy drive through the lake district the Wastwater youth hostel was a welcome sight... especially for Cooper and his passengers who got slightly lost and arrived two hours after everyone else! The next day sadly dawned rainy and foggy, though there were still some nice views to be had over the lake, and bacon sarnies were a nice incentive for people to leave their beds. Henry\'s wondertrip to Scotland

Henry Procter on 27th October 2011

Easter Trip 2011 - Lanzarote

Helen Nunn on 29th April 2011

But this location has it all - including sun! We stayed in La Florida (booked through www.jet2holidays.com), 3-bed self-catering apartments quite near to the old town in Puerto Del Carmen. The apartments were fairly budget but nice with a pool and bar, ...(Continue)

Dive Leader Training

Nathan Molyneaux on 3rd May 2010

We set off in search of Stackstead and Capernwray. Through the wilderness of the A65 we came upon Stackstead farm. A lovely converted barn for us to rest our weary heads. This time it was for Mikey to show his disappointment in the lack of rocky caramels; they just wern't on offer! Saturday comes with a lie in (well for some of us). We arrive at Capernwray without lunch! Whoops! Julia R kindly goes back to get it. The boys (Stephen EK, Peter C and Jonny W) give the brief. Oh you&...(Continue)
